Mitey & Sir John Kirwan Foundation Charity Weekend

Join us on 22-23 August for a special Charity Weekend supporting the Sir John Kirwan Foundation and their Mitey Programme, supporting mental health education in New Zealand primary schools.
Mitey, is not just about changing conversations - they’re changing futures by embedding mental health education into every primary and intermediate school in New Zealand. Mitey is delivering on a bold promise - a nation where every child has the skills to flourish, for life.

To raise awareness and funds, we’ll be hosting a range of special events across the weekend and we’d love for our community to get behind it! Here's a run down of activities which we will continue to add and update as more activities are confirmed:
Friday 22nd August - Mental Health Education Evening with Sir John Kirwan
East Coast Bays Football Clubrooms, Bay City Park, 54 Andersons Rd, Browns Bay
- 6pm Doors Open, 6.30pm Discussion starts
- Sir John Kirwan will be talking on the night - He will share his personal journey about wellbeing and how to thrive and why he started Mitey and chat to the audience about ways for them to manage their wellbeing.
Saturday 23rd August – BlueWave Charity Game & Day
East Coast Bays Football Clubrooms, Bay City Park, 54 Andersons Rd, Browns Bay
- 4pm-7pm: Hungerball at Bay City Park - free
- 5.30-7.30pm: Team Mitchell & Harcourts Cooper & Co will have their Coffee&Cone van - all proceeds go to the Mitey charity
- 6pm – East Coast Bays Men's First Team game vs West Coast Rangers in Rd 21 of the Northern League - featuring a special one off playing kit
- Mitey team will be out and about all day at Bay City Park and Ashley Reserve - to meet our community and chat about the Mitey programme, mental health. Please donate!
