NZF Youth Futsal Championship 2023

East Coast Bays AFC in collaboration with Northern Regional Football is delivering New Zealand Football's Youth Futsal Championship.  The national contest is scheduled to take place in Wellington from December 14th to 17th, spanning four days.

This event stands as the premier youth futsal spectacle in New Zealand, providing a platform for the finest futsal talents from the region to compete against teams from all over the country.

ECBAFC will be entering girls' and boys' teams for the age grades below:

          U15 (2009 & 2008)
          U17 (2007 & 2006)
          U19 (2005 & 2004)

Cost 

In 2022 the cost to participate was $950 for training and tournament fees, our aim is to keep costs as low as possible for players. We are actively seeking sponsorship and funding to lower the family investment; further details will be made available in October. We are aiming for a player cost between $500 and $950. This will cover all accommodation/travel to Wellington. 

Financial Support Fund 

The Physical Activity and Wellbeing Fund is available to families of female players who may require additional financial assistance. East Coast Bays AFC is offering an equivalent fund to families of male players. September Holiday Skills Programme 

2-day holiday skills camp where the U15, U17, and U19 girls and boys will follow a rotational training schedule

Date: 28th & 29th Sept

Time: 09:00 – 13:00

Venue: Long Bay College, 30 Ashley Avenue, Long Bay, Auckland 

Cost: $35 per day

Rotations include:

• Utilizing court and turf time for skill acquisition and practical application, including participation in small-scale games

• Strength and conditioning training, to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injury

• Set Piece Clinics aimed to engage players and teams in refining strategies, movements, and techniques

• Introduction to ECB Futsal vision, values, style of play, and individual and team tactics through video examples
  
  

The holiday skill sessions are not compulsory to attend in order to make the team, it is encouraged that you attend at least 1 day if you are able

Futsal sits outside ECB football programme, it is open to players from any club/school, there is no ECBAFC registration required.
